Investigating the impact of Strengthening Employees’ Communication Skills on Extra-Role Performance with the Mediating Role of Communication Effectiveness

Abstract

Communication between Individuals is one of the necessary conditions for survival and continuity of social life. The emergence of new organizations along with its own special complexities on the one hand and the widespread use of technology on the other hand, have transformed today's organizations in terms of communication. In fact, without communication, there would be no organization. This shows the importance of effective communication in organizations and its impact on the behavior of individuals and groups. It seems that having effective communication skills is the mystery of managers' success in the field of organization and a fundamental solution to deal with organizational problems. Effective communication is a key component of an organization's internal communication system. Numerous factors, such as strengthening communication and two-way communication (symmetric) affect this issue and Improve employees' extra-role performance. Therefore, the main purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of strengthening staff's communications skills on extra-role performance with the mediating role of communication Effectiveness . This research is an applied purpose that has been done in a cross-sectional survey method. The statistical population included all employees of the national exclusion headquarters, of which 270 people were selected as members of the statistical sample based on the Cochran's formula and using simple random sampling method. The data collection tool was a questionnaire. Regression method was used to analyze the data. Finally, the results showed that strengthening employees' communication effectiveness has a mediating role in the relationship between strengthening employees' communication skills and extra-role performance.
